Sunny St. John’s Wort is a wonderful plant ally that has found itself placed firmly into the category of anti-depressant and ear marked for just that, but this vibrant plant friend has so much more to offer! It is a favorite of mine for sore muscles, aches, pains, and bruises; it often finds its way into the sore muscle salves and liniments that I make.

The bright-yellow flower with succulent, red, oil-filled dots speaks to me with a joyful, sexy energy. In fact, I have found it to be a great ally for those with a decreased sex drive due to nervous tension. I often work with it to uplift the spirit and help clients find the joy in day-to-day life. I find it helps relieve frustration, while joyously releasing that heavy weight on your shoulders. I have personally experienced it as an extraordinary reliever of stress and a bright spot in a dark time.

It is an invaluable ally for nervous-system stress or damage to the nerves. It’s definitely a good nervous system ally, and I often pair it with another nervous system favorite, milky oats.

Hopefully, this issue will help you learn the intricacies of this beautiful ally, that not only is it a good mood elevator for some, but it does so much more!
